A bill to establish a national plan to coordinate research on epilepsy, and for other purposes, was introduced in the Senate & House.
Great news for the Epilepsies!Huge thanks to YOU!A bill has been introduced in the Senate (S.5353) and House (H.R. 10210) to create A National Plan for Epilepsy.
We are grateful to Senators Eric Schmitt (R-MO) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and Representatives Jim Costa (D-CA) and Greg Murphy (R-NC), as well as the House and Senate Epilepsy Caucuses who have led this effort on behalf of the millions of people living with the epilepsies.
This would not have been possible without YOU – all the people living with epilepsy, the caregivers, the advocates and organizations, the clinicians and researchers, and the government and industry partners who have worked collaboratively toward this goal.
Extra special shout out to the tireless advocates, savviest government relations leaders, and incredibly generous philanthropists who have made this possible.
More to follow in the days ahead.
FOR NOW, LET'S CELEBRATE THIS BIG WIN!
