General Peter W. Chiarelli

U.S. Army General (Retired)


Chiarelli served as the 32nd Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Military Assistant to Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. Dedicated nearly 40 years of service to the United States. Chiarelli was the senior officer in charge of the Army Operations Center in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. In 2013 Chiarelli received the Patriot Award, Congressional Medal of Honor.

Chiarelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Seattle University, a Master of Public Administration from the Daniel J. Evans School of Public Affairs – University of Washington, a graduate of the National War College.
